Lorne Woods is a successful entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in owning and operating private and public companies and over 20 years of experience in corporate communications. For the last 15 years he has worked in the financing and mining industries. His abilities can be judged by his success in helping to raise, with Sunset Cove co-founder Marc Blais, $3.5 million in a private placement on the Lima Stock exchange in September 2011. Before co-founding Sunset Cove in 2008, Woods was instrumental as Vice-President Investor Relations at Blue Note Mining, in raising $140 million.
From 2003-2006 Woods served as both a Director and Manager of Investor Relations at Osisko Mining, which is currently developing a gold property in Malartic, Quebec. In 1987 Woods co-founded Judson Woods, a boutique investor relations and corporate communications firm where he served as Vice President Investor Relations. By client request the company developed into a corporate management consultancy.
Judson Woods specialized and succeeded in introducing small cap companies to the financial and publicly traded markets. In doing so Woods displayed a canny acumen that allowed him to develop a global network of stock brokers, analysts, fund managers and institutional bankers. Woods has served as an Independent Director at a number of publicly traded companies and currently is an Independent Director on the board of Caldera Resources.
Marc Blais has more than 20 years of experience working in the North and South American mining industries. He studied at Montreal’s prestigious Ecole des Haute Etudes Commerciales, graduating with a BAA Accountancy in 1984 and a CGA in 1986. He speaks and reads French, English and Spanish and has more than 15 years of hands-on practical Latin American experience, the majority in Peru. Blais has a proven record in exploration, property evaluation, negotiation, development, private and public financings and investor relations.
From 1993 to September 2007 Blais worked at Dynacor Mines Inc., as President and CEO. In 2007 Dynacor had a gold custom milling operation and a tungsten mine. To drive investor value, Blais divided the company into two with Malaga Inc. taking the tungsten mine and Dynacor retaining the gold production. He successfully positioned the two companies to go public on the TSX.
At Dynacor Blais was responsible for financing, investor relations, mining operations and project development management, supervising a staff of 325. In 1998 he oversaw the financing and start-up of the company’s Acari Gold Mill start-up. Between 2005-2006 he negotiated the acquisition and financing of the Malaga Tungsten Mine from start-up to commercial production.
In 2008 he co-founded Sunset Cove Mining with Lorne Woods. As COO of Sunset Cove, Blais oversees the company’s wholly owned Peruvian subsidiary, Minera Sunset del Peru SAC, evaluating negotiating and managing exploration work for Gold, Silver and base metal properties. Blais has been a Director of many mining companies and currently sits on the Board of Wesdome Gold Mines Inc., where he is also President of the Audit Committee.

Jason Mychasiw, CFA
Independent Director and Chair of the Audit CommitteeSince 2009, Mr. Mychasiw has been the Commercial Credit Manager of Northwestern Ontario for TD Bank, where among other duties he is responsible for the adjudication of the loan book which includes a broad range of industries and businesses including mining and construction. He also serves as an Advisor to the Board of Zenyatta Ventures, a junior exploration company exploring for copper-nickel-PGM and most recently graphite deposits in Northern Ontario.
Arnaldo Leon Vega
DirectorArnaldo has worked in the Peruvian mining industry for more than 35 years in roles from investment banking to production positions. He has held positions with: Cerro de Pasco Corp Centromin Peru; Simsa;, the World Bank; the Inter-American Development Bank as well as Flemings investment bank (now JP Morgan Chase) in Lima.
In 1999 he founded Arnaldo Leon & Associates a consulting firm specializing in the promotion of mining investments.
He graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a Master of Science in Mineral Economics and the National University of Engineering in Peru as a Mining Engineer.
Steve Roebuck
DirectorSteve Roebuck, P. ENG, with over 16 years of mining and exploration experience. His times a production engineer and production geologist at BHP Billiton’s EKATI Diamond Mine, provided him with true hands on experience in the design and implementation of exploration and delineation drill programs.
Recently, Steve held positions at resource and mining companies such as VP, Development at Scorpio Gold Corporation and VP, Exploration at Forest Gate Resources.
